Biography
Hugo Orlandini is inclined to think of art as a transformational, creative and political energy that has sensorial, optical and mental consequences. A door that grants us access to new channels of perception in order to submit accepted systems to new questions.
This is the conceptual direction in which he tries to develop his artistic practice, chiefly by means of the installations and sculptures born out of information, of images published in the mass media, of architectural elements and objects of popular culture that he chooses because of their representative and symbolic possibilities.
During the creative process he applies recontextualisation strategies and games of scale, and thus transform objects. Making the works, he enjoys experimenting with different materials and evoking new representations.
