"The cycle of paintings The light at the bottom is characterized by the use of a single color, the black of March, linked to a work of the medium by subtraction. The light, main subject of the painting, is actually obtained by a long and meticulous wiping of the paint. In other words, it is constituted by the very background of the painting rediscovered by the withdrawal of the black. In this place, it is the absence of paint that creates the subject. This background / light is built in such a way as to orient the spectator towards the center of an immensity from which emerges most often an eminence or sometimes a grove of trees. " LD Laurent Delaire was born in 1971 in Clermont-Ferrand. He divides his time between his workshop near Vichy, and his teaching activities.
