Biography
Angelika Ratswohl is an Austrian artist born in 1963 who lives and works in Graz, Austria. In recent years, painting that was once her pastime activity became her true passion. Her autodidactic approach is enriched by painting trips and workshops with artists. She has made exhibitions in Graz since 2021. The journey through colours starts in the artist's mind and ends with brushstrokes on white paper. Flowers, landscapes and womanhood are Angelika Ratswohl's key themes. Preferred materials are watercolour and mixed media on paper and oil on canvas. The emotions arise from the internalization of the motifs expressed through colours as new departures and joy of life of instantaneous time. Most pictures have Italian titles because the artist adores Italy and its pure joy of life.
