Biography

Arifin Lancor is a self-taught artist from Indonesia with an abstract style. Although, he often combines realist elements into his abstracts. Arifin never studied art formally. He developed his artistic skills from the streets, playing with clay shapes, interacting with different people he met throughout his life's journey, experimenting with creative concepts and appreciating the world around him. 

In the early days of his career as a painter, he was a realist, creating photo realistic images of landscapes and beaches of Bali. But as years passed he began to explore abstract concepts until he finally felt comfortable with this style with which he was able to express complex situations and emotions effectively.
