Biography
Julieth Mars Toussaint was born in 1957 in Saint-Pierre, Martinique. He moved to Paris in 1960, and graduated from EDPI (a private school of industrial design) - advertising specialization, in 1977. He began working in advertising after his military service in 1979, then as a fashion designer in 1981 , in haute-couture (Paco Rabanne, Givenchy, Saint Laurent, Montana) then in women's ready-to-wear. Julieth Mars Toussaint began painting in 1989. In 1999, he moved to Berlin, then returned to Paris in 2005, where he currently lives and works. The Galerie des Tuiliers organized a solo exhibition for him in 2012 in Lyon and soon a new one in 2018.
