Biography
Márcio was born in 1978, in Recife, Brazil. Lives and works in Lisbon. He holds a degree in Photography from the Tomar College of Technology (2002-2006) and a Master's degree from the European Master of Fine Art Photography at IED, Madrid.. He began exhibiting in 2002 at the Recife Art Week. He has shown his work in the Visual Arts Season «Horta Contemporânea 2005», in the Azores; in K Gallery, in Lisbon; in Anticipte '08, in Lisbon; at PhotoEspaña, in Madrid and at the Kaunas Photo Festival in Lithuania.
In 2018, he presents the project «Chromatic Study for the Blue» in the Museum of Contemporary Art a of Brasilia.
And in 2019, he presents his project «Satellites» at the Museum of Contemporary Art a of Lisbon.
His works are represented in the Antonio Cachola Collection, National Museum of Contemporary Art of Brasilia, Museum of Modern Art AloÃsio Magalhães and in several private collections.
