Biography
Gabriel Martínez Navarro (Rigo), Barcelona 1947. He has his painting studio in Barcelona. At 17, the important and well-known Sala Parés, distinguishes him in the exhibition of the renowned young painting prize. The contact with nature and the perpetual struggle that it maintains for survival will make it free from the learned forms, to connect with the essence of this. Rigo does not start by painting from nature, his interest in the dynamism that comes through the use of the spatula, will make him transmit a vibration and a material thickness.
