Born in 1975 in Geneva, Alexis Reynaud is a Swiss photographer. His career as a photographer started in the field of advertising, he then turned towards the art of photography. He spent several months in Bangkok to develop his universe and expand his artistic territory.
Alexis Reynaud developed thus an artistic approach focused on questions about human situations. At first, he liked photographing the megacities from all around the world, questioning the role of man in the city, then Alexis Reynard became insterested in skiing, where tiny man, is seized by the objective of the lost artist in the midst of infiniy. "Sometimes people think my pieces are drawings or calligraphy and do not believe they are in front of a picture, I like removing the marks, you have to recreate the image by yourself", says the artist.
Alexis Reynaud's pictures were published in 2011 in Selection, during the prestigious Art Basel Fair. Famous collectors started buying his works back then. The galleries liked his work, and it has been exhibited in France, Germany, Switzerland and South Korea. In 2011, he received the public prize at the Park Art Fair International in Geneva.
