Biography
Helen Ward is a Bristol based artist and designer. Having graduated from UWE in 2001, with a degree in Graphic Design, Helen started her career making pop-up books whilst training as a traditional bookbinder. When she is not making paper artwork, Helen works as a home and giftware designer.
Helen regularly exhibits her Paper Entomology work internationally and is currently showing in several galleries across the UK.
Paper entomology
Helen has been making entomology themed works since 2008. The series is inspired by her collection of rare Victorian hand-marbled papers, which she uses to create incredibly detailed paper cuts. All works are preserved with acid-free mounts in bespoke frames, with conservation grade glass to protect the delicate papers.
