Biography
Joan Snitzer is a leading figure on the contemporary art-scene. She
is a “conference leader" in Art History and Manager of the Barnard
Visual Art Program. She teaches painting and visual art at the Barnard
College in New York City since 1986. This artist is also an art-critic
and an exhibitions curator.
Her work is a study of events: it
interlocks various forms of contemporary art. She combines various
pictorial mediums with a complex stratification and photographic
collages skilfully integrated. This kind of art releases an amazing
freshness.
