Biography
Yannick Bernard is a French lacquer painter, born in 1958.
Study the language of painting from the 5th century to the present day at the Artquarium school in Geneva.
Driven by a passion for movement and color, she speaks to us about freedom, sharing, beauty, and invites us to take a break in her art which she calls “Contemplative Art”.
It is the quest for an art that liberates rather than traps, contemplative art opens gaps in our mental routines offering a deeper vision of reality.
This is also what explains the choice of lacquer which is distinguished by its slow execution and is similar to a real meditation.
Lacquer is a living material that reveals itself layer after layer. On rhythmic structures, Yannick Bernard gives free rein to his love for color, transparency, and depth which shine through his paintings.
Noted for the originality and quality of her work, she obtained: 2012: the title of member of the Accademia Gréci-Morino art section. Italy. 2016: entered into the Guid'Art dictionary of artists.
