Giorgia Roversi

Italy • 1979

Giorgia Roversi is an Italian artist whose vivid and emotionally charged works explore the intersection of anatomy, beauty, and emotional healing.

Biography

Giorgia Roversi's practice explores the intimate architecture of emotions. In her paintings, imaginary organs become a metaphor of feelings - a tool for inner navigation in a dreamlike landscape where the physical and the unconscious meet.

Giorgia Roversi earned a degree in anatomical-surgical drawing and spent several years illustrating human anatomy manuals. This background gave her a deep knowledge of the body, which she now re-interprets through a symbolic lens.

She reimagines the body's internal world: imaginary organs become vibrant surreal still lifes – lush, bright, and adorned with feathers, jewels, and vibrant colors. These anatomical inventions reflect her central belief: that healing and transformation begin with self-acceptance. By honoring the pain, cherishing the scars, and embracing our emotional and physical vulnerabilities, we allow ourselves to grow.

Inspired by classical still lifes and Renaissance traditions that celebrated the beauty of flesh, Giorgia Roversi brings a contemporary lens, often blending painterly textures with digital aesthetics.
