In my pictorial practice, I question the idea of the off-screen by extending beyond the limits, the subject usually cut off by the edges of the format.
Biography
Martin Singer is a contemporary French artist whose artistic journey began when he left Fine Arts in the 90s. His passion for painting has always been the driving force behind his creation.
Committed to questioning his favorite medium, he managed to work on the mode of his presentation most often implemented, which is the frame. But beyond the frame, more general questions become clearer: the off-screen, the border, the inside-outside.
Most often, the artist makes his frames himself with the precision of an artisan carpenter, a frame that he polishes, varnishes or paints according to the needs of the project. This handmade work gives each work a unique, personal and very original look.
