"Three perspectives, one artist: Abstract Photography – Illustrative Photography – Fine Art Lyrical Abstraction."

Biography

The photographic artist Natalie Truchsess moves confidently between three poles: award-winning "Abstract Photo Art", the decorative-illustrative aesthetic of her label "taLinas Art", and her research into "Photographic Lyrical Abstraction".

Her journey began with classical training under photographer Valentin Schwab (1986/87), followed by years as a camera assistant for Bayerischer Rundfunk (Bavarian Broadcasting). This solid foundation in documentary aesthetics forms the bedrock of her work, from which she developed an increasingly abstracted visual language.

On Artsper, Natalie Truchsess presents her oeuvre in three clearly defined strands:

1. The Analytical View (Fotografie Natalie Truchsess):

Driven by a love of minimalism, her award-winning abstract works (IPA, PX3, ND...) explore a reality beyond the obvious. By abstracting subjects, she creates independent visual statements where the material origin recedes behind graphic structure.

2. The Painterly View (taLinas Art):

Under this label, she opens a "view from the window." Using in-camera filters, she creates idealized, almost yearning landscapes and seascapes. These works consciously blur the boundary between photography and painting, offering a cheerful and accessible aesthetic.

3. The View into the Invisible (Lyrical Abstraction):

The core of her current work is the "Photographic Lyrical Abstraction." Using her unique RCM (Remodel by Camera Movement) technique, she completely dissolves material reality. These works on Hahnemühle Photo Rag lend the invisible a physical presence within the space – as the absence of the subject opens the viewer's gaze to the hidden, emotional reality.

Natalie Truchsess thus offers a complete spectrum of contemporary photography: from profound, analytical abstraction to the enchanted perspectives of taLinas Art and the transfiguration of the invisible into a tangible image.
