Taia Akulova

BIOGRAPHY
Taia Akulova is a contemporary artist and architect from Siberia, Russia, now based in Los Angeles. She holds a Master's degree in
Architecture and has exhibited internationally in solo and group shows. Her paintings combine expressive brushwork with subconscious,
dream-like imagery, exploring the interplay between inner landscapes and the external world.

ARTIST STATEMENT
My work embraces the aesthetics of expressive gesture, blending intuitive, dream-like imagery with deep cultural and mythological
references. Through oil painting, I explore the dialogue between the self and the Other, transforming inner and outer challenges into powerful
visual narratives. I aim to reveal the universal and timeless truths within human experience, creating a dialogue that transcends both the
personal and the collective.
