Tara McPherson

Tara McPherson is an American illustrator and was born in 1976 in San Francisco. She studied at the Art Center College of Design of Pasadena, which gave her the opportunity to work as an intern at Rough Draft Studios on the Futurama series. She now lives and works in New York.


Tara McPherson is inspired by human beings. Her illustrations pay homage to our quirks and to the expressions which define us.
As a well-known artist on the international scene, she has worked with several big brands and some of the most famous artists. She counts Microsoft, Publicis, Kidrobot, Warner Brothers, Swatch, Rayban, Cirque du Soleil, Pepsi, Fanta and Nike among her clients.
As an illustrator, she has worked on the Bunny In The Moon books: The Art of Tara McPherson Vol III, The Art of Tara McPherson Vol II, Lonely Heart: The Art of Tara McPherson and more.
Her artwork was included in the Oscar-winning film Juno.


Tara McPherson exhibits her paintings and her prints in many galleries all over the world. Her work has appeared in a wide range of magazines and newspapers, including the New York Times, Vanity Fair, Playboy, Elle, Marie Claire and more.
