Artist's Interpretation
Regarding the evolution of existence, different regions of the world share similar descriptions: At the world's inception, the East had Donghuang Taiyi (Eastern Emperor, Great Unity), this sole, supreme entity, who held the same status and characteristics as Plotinus's The One.
Later, physics named this "One" the Big Bang. The start of this "One" already contained divergence: physics describes it as the process from hydrogen to iron; the early sages of Miletus defined it as water, fire, earth, and air; and the East described it as the five steps of cyclical creation: the Five Elements (Wuxing): Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, and Earth.
The current world sees differing ideologies, unilateral relations, and conflicts. However, the fact of our diverse coexistence has been proven since the moment of birth. A return to a state of symbiosis is my expectation; we are a community with a shared future. The future does not belong to any single entity; it belongs to us.
Gallery Analysis
This black and white drawing presents human figures intertwined and entwined with the Five Elements (Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, Earth), forming a dynamic and compelling spiral.
Each figure is rendered with masterful anatomical skill, every stroke shaping a structure, seemingly floating within cosmic space, which creates a sense of infinite extension. The figures' bodies merge with architectural and organic elements, symbolizing the convergence of humanity, nature, and the cosmos.
The skillful use of gray tones highlights the composition's depth and complexity. A central luminous spot draws the viewer's gaze, perhaps symbolizing a source or convergence point of energy.
This captivating work blurs the boundary between dream and reality, inviting the viewer to explore a world where humanity and abstract forms coexist in harmony. The intense emotional tension and exquisite technique make the piece both memorable and fascinating.
