At the forefront, a series of bare trees stretch upwards with bold, dark lines. Their trunks and branches, painted with a decisive hand, cut across the background of muted yet luminous apartment blocks. The absence of leaves suggests an early spring or late autumn setting, a transitional time of year when the earth is either waking from dormancy or preparing for its quiet rest.
