Geert Lemmers

Geert Lemmers, free and liberal artist, Fine Photo Art.

Geert Lemmers was born in the mysterious Land van Maas en Waal in the Netherlands. His grandmother's stories my grandmother about witches and secret societies have formed him as an artist.

He studied photography and worked as a freelancer for years making reportages and portraits for magazines and fashion photographs. After the digital revolution he could realize his dream by making art, the way he saw it. In 2008 Geert Lemmers won the professional art-price in his region and that was the start of a succesful artistic career.

Geert Lemmers is interested in our world and in its cultural and sexual diversity. He works mostly project-based and his work is about "the world of people" as a sort of general research.

"The world of people is about men and women behind often beautiful looking facades in the middle of the chaotic universe we live in. I research the raw site of our lives represented as fairytales in a wonderland as a enlargement of our life. Enlarged characters in chaos, beauty and imperfection. In every new project I vary on this basic-entity."
