Description
Stefanoni Factory is an artwork by Jean-Marie Gitard, also known as , offering a poetic and subtly offbeat vision of the contemporary industrial landscape.
The composition depicts a stylized factory dominated by three tall, perfectly aligned pink chimneys, topped with soft, cotton-like white clouds. Here, industrial smoke is replaced by light, immaculate clouds, transforming a symbol usually associated with pollution and mass production into a gentle, almost childlike image. This visual shift creates a striking contrast between the building’s actual function and the serene atmosphere it evokes.
The color palette—dominated by pastel shades of pink and blue—enhances this sense of unreality and situates the work within a pop, minimalist universe. Clean lines, strict symmetry, and the absence of any human presence emphasize the graphic quality of the scene, giving the factory an almost abstract dimension.
With Stefanoni Factory, Mr Strange questions our relationship with industrialization, the aesthetics of modern infrastructure, and the way imagery can soften—or even re-enchant—realities often perceived as cold or oppressive.
