Description
This artwork features an anthropomorphic, cartoon-style duck dressed in a black suit and top hat. It brandishes a gun from which emerges a red flag emblazoned with "BANG!", adding a touch of humor and absurdity to the scene. In its other hand, it holds a reproduction of the famous "Mona Lisa," intertwining two distinct cultural icons in a single, bold composition. The setting, an imposing metal safe, evokes an atmosphere of a farcical robbery. Scattered banknotes on the floor reinforce the impression of a comical heist. Born in 1991 in Vichy, Julien Durix is a talented painter who has been dedicated to art since 2012. After studying art for two years, he quickly developed a personal and unique approach, featuring characters from his childhood dreams. Superheroes are ever-present in his works, which are vibrant paintings full of dynamism and creativity. In his art, iconic figures like Superman, Mona Lisa, Charlie Chaplin, Marilyn Monroe, and Mickey Mouse come to life, transporting us into imaginary worlds where lightness and colors dominate. Through his works, Durix blends different eras and characters to offer a unique perspective on our current world, filled with tenderness and poetry.
