Biografie
Ossip Zadkine, geboren am 4. Juli 1890 in Vitebsk (im russischen Reich, heute in Weißrussland) und gestorben am 25. November 1967 in Paris, ist ein französischer Bildhauer russischer Herkunft, der 1910 in Frankreich gegründet wurde. Er gilt als einer der größte Meister der kubistischen Skulptur. Zadkines künstlerische Produktion erstreckte sich über ein halbes Jahrhundert und umfasste mehr als vierhundert Skulpturen, Tausende von Zeichnungen, Aquarellen und Gouachen, Gravuren, Buchillustrationen und Wandteppich-Cartoons.
