Audrey Faivre

Audrey Faivre lives and works in Nantes, where she has set up her studio.

After working in photography and as artistic director in a Parisian music label, she fully opened up to illustration and painting in 2016.

In her works, Audrey undertakes, with a style freed from the expression of conformism, a deep reflection on the world. With influences, notably drawn from the expressionism movement, primitivism or even naive art.

She chooses to celebrate the richness of human diversity, ignored charms and peaceful retreats. Like a snub to an overflow of cynicism and materialism, which makes the beauties of this world fleeting.

However, the dirigisme of the economic institutions of this world is not totally ignored in his works. With vibrant and anti-naturalistic colors, she likes to populate her paintings with meticulous details and hidden meanings. Lush vegetation, abundant foodstuffs, symbolic serenity, so many elements that bear witness to our way of inhabiting the world.
