Biography
Painter, writer, sculptor, playwright, Elie-Georges Berreby was born in Alger between the First and the Second World War.
In the book "L’Enfant pied-noir", he wrote his childhood. Thanks to this book, he won 3 literary awards such as Salons du livre Brive-Montréal award. The artist, used to live in different countries and made various expressionists artworks. He wrote plays such as "L’Homme en morceaux".
The theme of the relationship is paramount in his sculptures where he represents them with perfect and fine curbs. Thank to his talent, Elie-Georges Berreby won the Rubens award, a high artistic honor award. The artist had lived in various countries : Algeria, France, Denmark, Cape Verde, Costa Rica, Tanzania, Sri Lanka... This nomad life has surely inspired the artist.
