Adrian Buba

Adrian Buba was born in Romania in 1953. He got his diploma from the Academy of Fine Arts in Bucharest in 1976, and he worked at the National Museum of Art from 1976 to 1980.

In 1979, he became a member of the Artists Union of Romania and of the Artistic Association for Professional Artists (IAA-IAA-UNESCO). The same year he received the national prize for painting and quickly became one of the most influential artists in Romania.

In 1983, Adrian took part in the creation of "Die Gruppe" in Germany. He has been showing his work regularly in galleries, museums, contemporary art fairs in Europe ever since. Today, his works can be found in many state collections and in numerous private and public collections throughout the world.

René Huyghe, from the French Academy, former chief curator at the Louvre and Chairman of the Arts Council of the National Museums said of the artist:

"I have been amazed by the quality of his works which seem to mark an important step in modern art. He brings together a certain figurative appearance and the free benefits of abstract art.?

The symmetry of his work is a combination of the figurative and the abstract, favoring expressive colors in order to highlight his message which retraces a part of his life from a forgotten age?
