Éric Chabiron started his artistic career as a self-taught sculptor and painter. Later he took courses from artists Pedro Portugal and Joseph Martineau. He started exhibiting his works in galleries and at salons in 1993.
In his painting as well as in his sculptures, Éric Chabiron observes humans. Through the poetry of the linesor the solidity of metal, he breaks the silence or translates an inner language. In his sculptures, he fragments the body to render the essential, revealing at the same time what is smooth in the soul and what is coarse in the spirit.
In the tormented faces he creates, we can sometimes read a silent cry that reveals dark colors, the light of fire or the blackness of secret thoughts.
