Presentation

Born in 1975, a graduate of the Paris Beaux-Arts School in 2002, Eva Jospin has been exploring the forest theme for a few years.

Eva Jospin's work has been exhibited in solo shows, at the Manufacture des Gobelins in 2013, or in group shows such as "Inside" at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris in 2014 or "L'arbre, le bois, la forêt : lieux du mythe, du fantasme, de la peur, supports de l'imaginaire" (The tree, the woods, the forest : places of myths, fantasies, fear and bases for the imagination) at the Centre d'art contemporain de Meymac in 2015.

The only material she uses is cardboard, with which she creates high reliefs. Each forest is cut, assembled and presents itself as a landscape that stops the eye, but can also be explored. Her technique, made possible by a "meticulous, slow and everyday" action, evokes Land Art, garden landscaping and old tapestries.
