Biography
Patricia Loué is a French painter, born in 1961. Patricia Loué works with fictitious maps, logical representations of a territory. The artist reveals an imaginary territory which slowly becomes real: cities of Paris, Berlin, Venice or even Sologne. Patricia Loué does map making through several techniques like charcoal, acrylic and pastel. Her works always have a sort of metallic, architectural or industrial look. The artist takes us on a true adventure: the world as it is under our eyes. This vision on the world is more comforting rather than beautiful for the spectator, as its a discernible and familiar world: rivers, glass roofs and cities are easily recognizable. Patricia Loue's cartography is a portrayal of balance between the purely scientific and poetic aspect. Nonetheless, in both cases, the artist reveals a part of herself as she shows her own perception through vision and the visible. Her works have been exhibited many times in several Parisian galleries since 2010.
