Presentation
The work of Ellande Jaureguiberry most often revolves around stories of Science-fiction, poems or myths and testifies to his interest in forms of language and communication. By discreetly bringing together familiar elements from its everyday environment and raw materials, Ellande Jaureguiberry seeks to disturb the limits of art and functionality, to erase what circumscribes an object to a function, to what the conditions both a space and a thought.
These objects-subjects thus begin a dance, some with or in others, against each other; complicities or altercations that echo economic, cultural or ecological concerns and of which he expects angles of view and productive travel. Also, traces of this dance remain. Traces evoking the living, whether animal, plant or human: some hairs, fingerprints, marks of blowtorch, or some hammer blows.
The fluid, the moving, the soft are also important because by removing the clarity of the form and vision, they allow to question the tangible reality that the artist flees. The waves may be hairs, patterns or leaves, consisting of incessantly moving lines, fragments of reality, static objects in suspension and contrasting or saturated light. Everything lends itself to metamorphosis and announces the draft of new forms always floating.
