Born in: 1964

Didier Kriebs is a French painter born October 30, 1960 in Saint Avold, Moselle. From 1990 to 1999, he learned autodidactically painting and aerograph, he then took various private lessons with specilized artists. plastic art and nude drawing classes with Manfred Guthler, acrylic painting lessons with Norbert Witt and then portraits in oïl paint with Professor Todor Dimitrov. He draws his inspiration from comics and movies, specially from movies with special effects such as the Marvels. A specialist in portraits, he paints mostly faces and his canvases always depict personages. Sometimes he plays with the format by taking old objects and then he retranscribe them on new canvases and changing for example the posture that the personage had at the beginning. Didier Kriebs immerses us in a world of unique personages of poignant looks, mixing Dreams and imagination to his mostly human silhouettes.

Didier Kriebs has won several artistic prizes, he is the winner of the first prize of painting at the Salon of Lorrain Artist in 2016 and he has exhibited his work in most of the biggest shows in France and Germany. Most of his pieces are permanently exhibited at the Gallery Guy PENSA.
