Antoine Schaab

Born in 1951, Antoine Schaab is a French painter and sculptor. Antoine Schabb studied fine arts in Paris and started a process of reflection around collage and wood carving. In the beginning of the 70s, he met the famous Catalan painter Xavier Oriach who helped him expose his work at the Contemporary Art Center of Jouy sur Eure besides the painter Tal Coat and sculptors Ipousteguy and Friguet. His encounter with Sophie Badet allowed him to expose at the Triskele Gallery specialized in surreal art. She bought several of his collages. At that time, he met Daniel Sarver, a gallery owner and discoverer of Parisian talents and with whom he established a strong friendship. Antoine Schaab received the second prize for sculpture from the Academy of Arts, Sciences and Letters in 2010. Antoine Schaab's pieces are exposed all throughout Europe and they are part of several private collections.
