Born in 1979, Alexandra Taupiac is a French photographer who lives and works in Paris. She started her career besides Patrick Gris in 2005. With him, she acquired solid technical skills, thanks to prestigious collaborations with the Cartier Fondation or the Quai Branly. Since some years, she has been working at the Upper East Studio, where she develops her aesthetics combining pictures and plastic works.
Even if Alexandra Taupiac practices photography, she does not limit herself to a single technique in her artistic approach. Oil painting, ink and carvings construct and enrich her images, nurturing her creative language.
Alexandra Taupiac's work is widely recognized in the world of fashion, a recognizition that is reflected in her numerous collaborations with magazines and stylists. In addition, her work has also been the object of a special award, the PICTO prize in 2012.
