Le Carburateur is a collaboration between the artists XRAY and 537718. After creating their el-bos label in 2008, they opened the Xurikub gallery in Biarritz and managed the 16 ART Gallery in Bayonne. In 2014, they transformed an old mechanic garage into a studio: Le Carburateur was born.
Urban influences but also Pop Art, the two artists combined visual and graphic creations. Curious and multi-disciplinary, they recreated various universes like silkscreen painting, photography and collage through modern techniques. Their vision gives them free rein and therefore they aren't restricted to a specific style, on the contrary it leads them to explore various possibilities around them. They number and sign each of their photos.
In 2014, the two artists exhibited their work at Sm'art, the Mediterranean contemporary art fair located in Aix en Provence.
