Eckart Hahn was born in 1971 in Freiburg/Breisgau. After a year of studying photography at the Johannes Gutenberg School in Stuttgart, he moves to the Eberhardt-Karl University in Tubingen to study art history and then returns to university of origin to study graphic design.
The artist explores other mediums such as sculpture, photography and installation, but painting remains Eckart Hahn?s favorite discipline. He explores and pushes the limits of this technique, and this is obvious in his multidimensional productions. His works try to disrupt the harmony of daily life and to immerse the viewer in the artist?s imaginary world: conceptual traps, trompe l?oeil, 3D...
Eckart Hahn has had numerous shows in many German and American galleries. His works are parts of prestigious collections in Europe and North America.
In 2005, he received the Prize of the Artists Association in Württemberg.
