Olga Brown

Born in 1960 - Ukraine

Olga Brown is an Ukranian artist born in 1960. She obtained a masters degree in art and textiles at the Academy of Fine Arts of Lviv, Ukraine. She works and lives in London since 1997, where she won the Agnes Reeve Award at the Chelsea Arts Society for the best painting of London in 2009.

Her paintings of landscapes are impressive and colorful, they try to portray all the noise and the chaos of modern life, which can be seen specially in big dynamic cities. She adds flashes of black and red to her scenes, which are always full of people so her pieces are not just sad architectural representations. With the help of thick brush strokes and using a rich palette of colors, Olga Brown tries to capture the liveliness of the British capital.
