Glenn Ibbitson

United Kingdom

Glenn Ibbitson is an emerging British artist who lives in Wales. After studying during seven years at the University of Arts, at first as a student and then as a tutor, Glenn worked for fifteen years as a set designer for the cinema, television and theater. He became freelancer after working for a long time for the BBC. It was not until 2004 that he decided to devote himself solely to painting.

A very talented artist, Glenn Ibbitson uses trompe l'oeil and other optical illusion techniques to create stunning pieces. A painter, collagist, director and producer, Glenn Ibbiston draws his inspiration from the direct observation of the model or landscape. His favorite subject has always been the human body. In his practices he uses images depicting humorous and captivating contradictions.

Glenn Ibbitson's pieces have been exhibited alone and besides the pieces of his companion Carole King, an artist as well.
