Biographie
Lorsque le métal devient émotion…
L’atelier de Yannick Bouillault se situe en bordure de l’océan Atlantique, dans l’ouest de la France. C’est face à cette immensité qu’il forge depuis son plus jeune âge un lien intime avec la création. Formé à la chaudronnerie, il exerce d’abord comme technicien avant de se consacrer pleinement à la sculpture en 2016, porté par un élan spontané et viscéral.
Passionné par la matière – principalement l’acier – et nourri par la philosophie, Yannick Bouillault s’attache à révéler la beauté cachée du métal. Grâce à sa maîtrise technique, il transforme cette matière brute et froide en vecteur d’émotion. Chaque œuvre naît d’un dialogue entre réflexion et ressenti, entre tension et apaisement.
Curieux des phénomènes et attentif à l’énergie du monde, il s’inspire autant du mouvement que de l’absence, du visible que de l’invisible. Dans son travail, le réalisme et le surréalisme s’entrelacent pour donner naissance à des sculptures à la fois puissantes et sensibles. Jouant avec les formes et les couleurs, il confère au métal une légèreté inattendue, parfois même une grâce poétique.
Sculpteur autodidacte, Yannick Bouillault s’impose aujourd’hui comme une voix singulière du métal contemporain. Ses œuvres, exposées en France et à l’étranger, voyagent désormais à travers le monde, portées par une émotion universelle.
Toutes les sculptures de l’artiste sont conçues et réalisées entièrement par ses soins. Chaque pièce est accompagnée d’un certificat d’authenticité numéroté.
