Le travail de Cristian Hunter part de cette conviction. Ses photographies, fruit d'une solide carrière internationale, ne sont pas de simples documents, mais des territoires ouverts où la peinture, la texture et le geste étendent la photographie à de nouvelles dimensions de sens.
Hunter explore comment une image peut changer de sens au fil du temps, comment le contexte, la mémoire et l'intervention manuelle peuvent transformer ce qui a été capturé en quelque chose de nouveau révélé. Chaque œuvre est une invitation à regarder à nouveau, à découvrir ce qui se cache sous le visible. Guidé par le principe que « rien ne reste immobile », il travaille à partir de ses archives personnelles, les réinterprétant, donnant une nouvelle vie à ce qui a été vécu et brisant le flux linéaire entre passé et présent.
Son objectif a immortalisé des personnalités telles que Pharrell Williams, Penélope Cruz, Jennifer Lopez, Ewan McGregor, Lalisa Manoban, Adria Arjona et Bruno Mars, entre autres. Mais son intérêt va au-delà du portrait : ce qui l'intéresse vraiment, c'est ce qui reste lorsque l'image cesse d'être littérale pour émerger comme un objet vivant.
Son œuvre actuelle comprend à la fois des pièces inédites et une sélection d'œuvres issues du patrimoine artistique de Hunter & Gatti, dont il est désormais le directeur. Ces œuvres, dûment créditées comme « créées par Hunter & Gatti », sont présentées parallèlement à sa pratique personnelle et établissent un dialogue entre histoire, transformation et regard contemporain.
Son travail a été exposé dans des villes telles que Barcelone, New York et Miami, et reflète une pratique visuelle fondée sur l'expérience, l'exploration et l'évolution continue.
