Born in 1978 in Lyon, Nora Boudjemaï is a autodidact french painter.
The artistic approach of Nora Boudjemaï is a confrontation. An introspective duel. It’s a quest. A spiritual exploration.
Her painting is a journey. It all starts with the control of the line, sometimes plotted in an emergency, thin or thick, taking her in a path full of colours. Liquids. Splashes that have led the way to figuration and disfigurement. Her period «beyond the face» to take the figure elsewhere. In a calligraphic surge and rigor.
Nora Boudjemaï strikes her canvas, floods it with a generous material, often feverish. Exploration of destruction/reconstruction. Her approach is in motion, the gesture is purified without losing its energy where abstraction is slowly imposing itself.
