Biography
Carole Caplan was born in 1961. Carole spent 30 years of her life in the UK where she graduated from the Sheffield School of Art and Design. She has had a long successful career in the arts, having worked in fashion, painting, glasswork and more.
Her artwork is inspired by the places she has lived and travelled to. She has a keen interest in British culture and takes inspiration from the British Pop Art movement. On a trip to Venice in 2005 she fell in love with the bold, colourful Murano glass artwork crafted by master glass artists and chose glass as her medium of choice.
Her artwork is a unique take on the Pop Art movement. Using delicate crystal, glass, and resin beads & gems she reinvents the classics to create fabulous 3D, textured, bold pieces which instantly become the focal point of any room.
