Description
This artwork captures a serene coastal scene, where the sea blends harmoniously with the sky. The artist uses shades of blue and gray to create a calming and mysterious atmosphere. Presentation
Trained at the School of Decorative Arts in Strasbourg, Martine Elhaik is now established as a professional artist in Franche Comté. Her artistic approach is based on a research of adequacy between materials and colors to reach through their connection by the forms and the volumes, a pictorial harmony which she applies to make emerge from her paintings. Her lacquers explore an intimate universe populated with memories, a dreamlike and theatrical space with chimerical perspectives.
The product of a mixed technique associating an oil background on a wooden support covered with medium, a patient arrangement of collages of images punctuated with gold leaves, a lacquer which comes to melt this whole... and the trompe-l'oeil comes to life. His work on the landscape is an invitation to the imagination that the gaze, once captured, extends beyond the simple visual contemplation.
