Description

Lámeme, by Léa Bon Archival pigment print on Harman Glossy 260 g. paper Large size: 47.24 in. H x 31.50 in. W. Edition 1/3 -Small edition available: Image size: 39.37 in. H x 25.98 in. W Edition 1/3 2016

This artwork showcases a striking pair of red platform heels, which immediately command attention with their bold, glossy finish. The towering height of the platforms is emphasized by the sleek, polished leather, creating an assertive visual statement. The shoes are adorned with double buckled straps, which add an element of intricacy and elegance, contrasting with the smooth and seamless design of the heels themselves. The footwear is paired with black leather leggings, which enhance the overall allure and sophistication of the composition. Set against a rich, dark backdrop, the vibrant red of the shoes becomes the focal point, drawing viewers into a world of luxury and daring fashion. The photograph captures not just a fashion accessory, but a bold expression of identity and style.

Léa Bon is an androgynous fashion and art photographer, with a unique, personal and spiritual body of work. At a young age, Léa Bon found in photography the means by which she could construct her own small worlds using her imagination. Her work breaks with the stereotypes of traditional photography and goes beyond the human eye; is a fusion between art, fashion and humanity, evoking surrealism, expressionism and hyperrealism. Dreams and fantasies from the past and present are portrayed by Léa Bon's subjects, which she uses like her own personal dolls. She has done multiple exhibitions about her life, among them “First Cycle-Innocent Vision", composed of 25 works of art that portray her personal journey.
