Hervé Télémaque
France
Léo Galamez was born on June 5, 1979 in Pas-de-Calais. At 42, the painter already has a very specific style, both in terms of his technique and his universe. His paintings are done on acrylic canvas. He has also recently been experimenting with oil. Very often his paintings use bright colors and are large. These are abstract variations to which, to leave the interpretation as open as possible, no title is conferred. The works exude both energy, extravagant vitality, poetry and playful spontaneity. They are based on a pattern that reinvents itself ad infinitum, like the countless cells that make us up. His initial approach is inspired by cell biology and the study of tissues, a reference that comes from his medical studies. It draws its current sources from nature and music. Through this outpouring of simple but also mysterious and thrilling forms, and of colors that testify to a subtle aesthetic research, the artist seeks "to astonish himself and to share his pleasure in painting".
Léo GALAMEZ is self-taught, but has always painted alongside his professional activities.
