Presentation

Georges Myral was born in 1954 and the painting which he practiced very early as a passionate amateur finds its roots in the abstract painting of the 20th century in several movements where he will draw lessons that he will combine on the canvas to reach maturity on his own. creation. Of technical training he will lead a professional life in parallel with an artistic activity that he will never abandon and marked out by numerous collective and personal exhibitions.

In 2012 he definitively adopted his status as a painter and his work is devoted to an abstraction close to abstract expressionism.

In 2018 in a change that he feels as a logical continuation of the evolution of his work, he builds and delivers to us a work where the support takes a preponderant place in the geometric architecture of the painting. Abandoning all exhibitions, he entrusts the exclusivity of his production to the Open Art Galerie.

The canvas remains the material of the support used, but the frames are here assembled so as to constitute a geometrical whole where the thicknesses of the elements constituting it can vary. The whole then delivers a flat sculpture of contemporary architecture which will sometimes move away from the classic square or rectangle pattern. The color will be applied in geometric spaces in a minimalist way to let the gaze enter between transparency and opacity. Beyond the harmonic balance of an art that can be qualified as decorative, the often diffused light of the paintings remains a call to introspection of those who gaze at them.
