"I am fascinated by time scales: blink of an eye from time immemorial of volcanoes....there is of course no photo retouching: a good photo reflects a particular time which will be irreparably destroyed by the artificial transformation of the delicate drawing of light, operated by the device".
This obsession around time scales is naturally portrayed in his committing work, where the ecological highlights paradoxically reveal the worrying beauty of contemporary landscapes: the footprint of nuclear power plants in the landscape, farmed fields to the extreme, use of petrol on a daily basis...
His many exhibitions in Europe, Africa, U.S.A show the sensitiveness and the relevance of the artist's work which ranges from technology to the image, from photography and drawing to installation.
