Biography
Michal Van Laere is a French artist born in 1943.
After studying graphic arts at the School of Fine Arts of Lille, he started a career as a photographer of concerts and took pictures of some of the most famous rock bands of the 60s such as "The Who" or "Jimi Hendrix". He then created an advertising agency, a project he gave up in the beginnning of the 80s because according to him the agency had became too commercial and he prefered to focus on his personal artistic creation.
He devoted then to drawing, painting, sculpture and photography and got the reputation of an unclassifiable artist for the galleries because his creations differ greatly from one to another, the artist uses a wide variety of mediums and techniques.
