Remy Zaugg (1943–2005) was a Swiss conceptual artist known for his rigorous exploration of language, perception, and the relationship between text and image. His works frequently consist of short phrases or single words presented in minimal, typographic compositions that engage the viewer both visually and philosophically.
Zaugg collaborated with renowned architects such as Herzog & de Meuron, reflecting his interest in spatial experience and context. Today, his works are held in major international collections, including Tate, Centre Pompidou, and Kunstmuseum Basel.
