Description
This original lithograph, numbered 138/150 and signed in pencil by the artist, features a female nude in a contemplative pose, her arms wrapped around her torso as if to protect or embrace herself. The woman is seated with her legs folded beneath her, evoking a serene and meditative posture. The background of the image is composed of translucent veils in shades of pink, orange and green, creating a soft and dreamy atmosphere that highlights the central figure. The artist uses a delicate layering of colors and fine lines, which give the image an almost ethereal quality. The subtle play of light and shadow on the layers of color adds depth and dynamism to the composition. The contours of the body, traced with great finesse, emphasize the fragility and grace of the female figure, while maintaining a certain abstraction. Presentation
Born in Brive-la-Gaillarde in 1933, Jean-Baptiste Valadié is a painter, sculptor, engraver, designer, lithographer and illustrator. He began training at Cours Charpentier in Montparnasse and studied applied arts for four years, he graduated in 1955. The artist always had his crayon, when he went to Place du Tertre, to sketch.

His works offer the sweetness of dreams or a "Venetian dream", as one of the titles of his lithograph suggests. Grace suspends under his pencil's grip and highlights visual harmony. Its "laziness" attains its fulfillment and its "Harmony" opens towards infinite horizons of dreams.
