Biography
Nitram is the pseudonym of Martin Matrat. Born in 1986, from Strasbourg, Nitram is a painter with a promising career, whose work has been noticed since the beginning of his artistic activity.
If we had to qualify his style, we would probably classify him in the street art, free figuration or raw street art movements.
He mixes warm and cold colors on large formats, mainly with acrylic. His paintings take on African and/or South American colors. His subjects are bestiaries, historical or mythological scenes, theories or great fantasies.
Mysticism, dreams, life, death and humor are mixed through geometrical forms. His motifs, surrounded by black and white, recall certain artists of the 1980s and 1990s.
