"I need to recharge my batteries in the primitive and the wild." I am thinking of the American Indians: of those Yaqui sorcerers who, in Mexico, continue from generation to generation to "encounter" in their dreamlike visions, a deer which does not exist in the fauna of their region, but which was at the center of the civilization of their ancestors, several thousand years ago, when they emigrated from Asia through the Bering Strait."
Painter, draftsman and engraver Hervé Duval was born in Brittany in 1960. He lives and works in the Paris region and has exhibited since 1990.
